Born Again Tradition

My Family went to Lake Powell every summer growing up, it is one of the fondest memories of my teenage years. Steve's family did the same.

Then time goes by and circumstances change and some of our best loved traditions get lost.

After years of missing this beautiful lake we finally made it back to start a new tradition with our own family.
It felt nostalgic looking up at the grandiose red cliffs and jumping off the top deck of the houseboat, yet so new and exciting watching our kids discover the sandy beaches and the water for the first time.

Just so happy to be back.

What a great "new" tradition to re-start! And how great that you are giving your children the same happy memories that you and your husband grew up with.

My husband grew up on that lake. It was the last place he went on his mission, and the first place he went to when he got back. He even took bottles of sand and water with him. We bought into our house boat five years ago, we are in bullfrog.
My girls love it and can't wait to go, we are going June 12 and August 1, so nanny nanny boo boo.
