Bench Makeover

Why is outdoor furniture so pricey? I can't seem
to figure it out.  Even if your willing to pay a lot, it's really hard to find cute pieces.

My husband has been wanting a bench in this one particular corner of our yard for sometime. while I was out of town he picked this up:

Hmmm....it was cheap, I will say that.

I picked up a yard and half of upholstery fabric (since we don't sell it in our shop just yet), re-covered the cushion and spray painted the bench.

Not half bad.

Lovely! We are trying to find our dream outdoor furniture right now at a price that doesn't make us cringe. Not easy at all.

I think it is super cute and the fabric is fab! I am on the lookout for a chair for our tiny front porch to redo and you have inspired me!

I do like the design of the bench in the first picture, but your makeover really gives it that little twing that it needed to be a really interesting and delighting piece of furniture. :o)

So funny! We picked up the same bench for our porch and I I have intentions very similar to your re-do. Do you have any recommendations for where to get outdoor and home decor fabric? Jess (at) OlyMomma
