Top Hat Headband

I've always wanted to make Juliette a little Top Hat Headband and I thought Halloween would be the perfect time for her to wear one.  I bought a mini top hat in the doll making aisle at the craft store and embellished it with feathers, fabric flowers, lace and beads, then attached it to black elastic.  She had nothing to wear with it, so I made her a little skirt. She had me smiling all night at the pumpkin patch, but that smile soon faded when we stopped for ice-cream and the hat never made back to the car with us :(  No one ever found it. Oh well, at least we got a couple pictures of her in it, and honestly with how simple it was I may just make her another.

Oh that is so lovely! How fun to have a little girl to make frilly little things for! We had 3 boys, ugh! And one never dressed up for Halloween, he just would not have anything to do with that!
